Membership
Non-Toastmaster Guests are allowed to attend Toastmasters at no charge, in order to see how the program works, and to be given an opportunity to decide if they would like to join. Guests are invited to take part in the Table Topics portion of the program to practice his/her public speaking skills.
Visitors from other Toastmasters clubs are always welcome to our meetings and are welcome to participate in our Table Topics portion of the program. If you decide to remain in our club for a longer period of time, please contact any of our committee members for further details. We would also request that you have a club officer from your home club send us a note (email or fax) stating that you are a paid member in good standing, so that we can let you participate in roles reserved for members of the club.
Members application – After you have attended our meeting, please complete a membership application and inform any committee members of your desire to become a member of this club.
Transferred Members – If you have continued full membership in another Toastmasters club, and you want to transfer to Global Communicators Toastmasters club, a reference letter, fax or email, by a club officer of your previous club is required. If your membership has lapsed, you must complete all of the steps toward new membership and pay the New Member Fee.
Membership Fees
To register as a member in Global Communicators, memebrs must pay a membership fee of RMB450 for a period of 6 months.
Of these fees, a portion goes to Toastmasters International for registering you as a member, as well as providing all of your materials, and a monthly subscription to the Toastmasters magazine. The remaining is required by the club to cover costs of club operation, such as buying necessary materials and supplies for the club, renting meeting venue, etc.
Global Communicators is a non-profit club. None of our officers or members are paid for their efforts.
