Coming meeting Mar31

Before I joined Global Communicators, I often felt exhausted and boring on Wed because it is another working day at the right middle of the week.

Now with you all, I have experienced so many happy moments: to share stories of “Cherishing Our Parents”; to “refresh” our mind; to grow happily with some kinds of complicated “mixed feeling” like painful, embarrassing etc.; to grow by “Learning from mistakes”; by enjoying losing face; to realize “real friendship ” still existed, etc.

Happy means a kind of positive attitude, you will return your favors with grateful feeling when you feel happy.
Happy means success of your life, so many people dream to have a happy life in their life.

But there are variety of viewpoints about real happiness, how do you define your happiness?

Come and enjoy with us another Happy Wednesday, let’s come and share your “Happy Formula” with me tomorrow!

Cheers,
Simon Liu

Meeting Minutes Mar24

Toastmaster Justine reminded us the importance of “Cherishing Our Parents” and avoid the regrets from without doing so. Although their opinions sometimes contradicted what we would like to hear, they always care us with our best interested. That motivated us to initiate as quick as possible.

Table Topic Master Liu Bing gave us a chance to elaborate our memories with our parents. Cathy Jia shared her parents’ favorite care; Angela cherish the joy with parents even not having a chance to go outing as often. Sissi’s grown up made her understand her parents’ scolding always good for her. Portia didn’t like her parents’ unwanted care to get up early. Jason relished the face to face gathering with parents. First time table topics evaluator Sebrina enjoyed the speakers’ fluent presentation.

Newsmaster Libby shared an update issue of shortage of labor near coastal in the nation. That’s interesting and gave us a deep insight how it effected the manufacturing industries and our lives.

We had a special education session by senior TM’s Rolf. He revealed his tips on “How to construct a speech Lazy(ily)”. His simple and entertaining presentation gave us a new idea on how to overcome our difficulties on speeches’ preparation. Members’ questions on this area were cleared and reacted with enthusiastic be ready to move on their CC progress.

General Evaluator Porsher enjoyed the meeting and appreciated the evaluation team’s preparation. Ah counter Kyle showed us a new method to measure our performance. He used our performance in no.of crutch words per minutes. This impressive and effective way won him the best functional award. Timer Cindy thanked our co-operation. Porsher reminded us the importance of picking up the good and bad of language usage as being a wordsmith. That could be done by re-confirm the roles’ details by reading the background information from our manuals

Meeting Mar24

When is the last time that you

  • called your parents?
  • gave your parents a warm hug?
  • cooked a meal for your parents?

l gave a massage to your dad or accompanied your mom for a walk in the park?……Little things mean so much to your parents. There are lots of personal and inexpensive ways to show your parents your love and affection to them.

So my theme for tomorrow’s meeting is “Cherishing Our Parents”.

Most of us live in a circle: when we are young, we usually are too ignorant or shy to express our love to our parents; when we have our own children, we come to realize what to be a parent really means, but by that time we are too busy to raise our kids or struggle with our career. . In effect, we can never pay back the love our parents give us.

Remember, our parents will not be around forever (so do us). Let’s show our love to our loved ones first before we make this world a more loving place.

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you tomorrow!

Best wishes,
Justine

First time toastmaster Elsa shared her parents’ mixed feeling with their beloved cat ‘Jenny’. She’s lovely while she behaves well but not while she’s naughty. These mixed feeling always around us. Then first time table topic master Simon gave us a big challenge. We need to overcome these mixed feeling. That gave our member some difficult time, CK needed to tell a white lie, Jason needed to tell a black humor. Portia even had to make a decision who to save from drowning, her mother or her partner. Then Lucy overcome it with a wise way to comfort her leaving employee by buying him coffee.

Dear friends,

Happy Women’s Day to all girls!

For example, I have Mixed Feelings for the coming meeting — on the one hand, I’m kind of being a bit scared because of lack of experience — on the other hand, I feel excited because I’m well prepared and I expect it’s a good start for me.

I checked about the whether, it’s going to be a nice and warm day. So hope you could come!

Theme of the meeting: DAY DREAMING

Our toastmaster Cathy reminded us the precious of day dreaming during these busy working life. Especially, she likes to dream about doing nothing under blue sky with the breeze. That definitely enlighten our spirit from those stressful moments.

We have an interesting table topics session, our topics master Issa would like us to practice thinking about the purpose of life as our life will be shaped subconsciously. By thinking positively, with the law of attractions, our lives results from what we dream. Angela’s craziest thing if she has a chance to do is to perform her dancing in Broadway. Lucy didn’t want to go back in time as she respected what she did are the best for herself even life repeated. Porsher as a wise man recommended the future generation must do what they want to do with no regret. Carl our guest would like to get marry and have a kid if his life expires in a year.
