MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Welcome 2010!

More than 25 new and distinguished old friends celebrated our 2009′s last gathering. We shared our joyful moments in singing, learning more in communication skills, playing games, and sharing our 2010 wishes. We passed our blessings to each other by exchanging Christmas gifts and cut our Silent night’s cake. It was a wonderful gathering we want more…

Dear passionate GC fellows,

This is our last formal meeting in 2009, you want to know what had happened in this special meeting?

Our toastmaster Angela shared her multi-election experiences to us and gave us a better insight how TM’s officers’ roles benefited her life and understanding what’re the leaders’ essences. First time table topics master Sissi, overcame her missing questions, and brought us an in-depth challenging topics session on election. In the past, women didn’t have the right of voting. Meeting Minutes Dec9

Oh December again!

Our TM Sidney has a habit of reviewing his yearly moments. He shared his 2009′s achievements and what his 2010′s dreams. When we reach an important goal, rejoice. Be thankful – for the confirmation of our dream, for our perseverance in making our dream come true. then we can hold onto the pure joy of that moment. Come back to it again and again. So rejoice in our table topics session by Maggie, Vivian cherished her last holiday in recovery of her broken leg. She reminded us the importance of health. Lucy learnt prioritizing will get the most benefit in life in her past 11 months. Porsher’s most memorable thing in 2009 is got an opportunity to learn from the elders’ experiences and touched by their lives’ attitude. Andy’s on having a house will come true in 2010. Our old friend, Bruce hope he can prepare the best gifts/surprise for his wife before the end of this year. All our participants reacted to the table topics quite straight forward but the delivery a bit strange might be because of the new camera setting. Meeting Minutes Nov25

Toastmaster Liu Bing brought us a philosophical theme on how our behavior relates with “Emotion and logics”. By deeper understanding, we might benefit our communication with others, especially when we faced difficult situations. As Terra, table topic master, brought us to react on these conditions: 16 year old daughter pregnant(Sissi); director of Spring festival TV program(Hendro); comforting a student whoes parents passed away(Cathy Jia); bad behavior teacher’s spread on internet(Lucy); get blinded(Charles); stepmother is younger and much beautiful than me(Porsher). Angela as topics evaluator also felt these challenged our participants to overcome their emotions and tried their best for the better. At last, Sissi kept calm and be there for her daughter to overcome the difficulties in facing the mistakes; Charles learnt that being a disable still able to enjoy other privileges for positive living won our votes.
